Mango-Kitten has started to firmly grasp the idea of the litterbox. It appears to be thanks to a change to sandy litter rather than crystaly litter, the addition of “litterbox attractant”, and some kitty pheromone spray that makes other areas smell like friendly cheek rub play or sleep areas, where one doesn’t want to toilet. We’ve also got an upstairs and a downstairs litter box set up, to make it easier for her, and are keeping her shut in a bathroom when we’re not home just to make sure, with nothing more inviting than the litterbox available to use there.

We’re still waiting on Kitten 2, Linx to be able to be neutered and come home. He was sick, and is now significantly recovered, so I’ll call again today and see what the SPCA knows.

In other news, now that we’re better than three years past our house fire, we’re eligible for regular house insurance again, at half the cost of the hardship last effort stuff we’ve had. And we’ll get a discount on it and our car insurance to boot.
